Woo, I finished my dorky, crudly fashioned portal thing for New Media. Working on my channeling dorkyness into art with remediation and other fun games.
I am getting better (I think) at the talking-to-people game. It is wicked sick. Thats the kind of thing people say, right?
I made a little comic (HERE) about how sexy I think BISON PRESS is. Which is very. Some dudes did a group presentation on them in class this morning.
I took a little tour with Corvus in freshman year, I had no idea what I was seeing and smelling but I was definately into it. Now that I know some letterpress/artsy press things myself, and have huffed my share of relief inks, I think my desire are only growing.
I have to write an email to Jacob Covey this weekend. I really want to see if Fantagraphic Books (Publisher of like, one out of three good graphic novels - Ware, Jason, etc) is considerings interns for the summer, Covey is the Art Director there. This is really psyching me out. I asked my advisor Christina De Almieda about it, she told me to be cool, cracker. I’m not totally sure what that means. I don’t think I can just write someone who I want to impress an email containing an invitation to chill.
I also don’t want to go all fan-nerd, trying to prove how into fine graphic novel literature I am.
